Large and Small Magellanic Cloud Galaxies

I took some last minute images of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) and the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) at the same observing session as the image of the Eta Carina nebula on 9 July 2013  at a  relatively dark spot, an hours drive east of Adelaide.

SMCPicture saved with settings embedded.

LMCPicture saved with settings embedded.

The SMC image is made up of 5 x 1 minute exposures at 60mm,  ISO 1600, f/3,2 and the LMC is made up of 8 x 1minute exposures. Stacked with DeepSkyStacker and processed with Photoshop CS2 and Lightroom 4. I used my homebuilt star tracker to keep the stars from trailing.
